DBT Resiliency Center

DBT Resiliency Center specializes in DBT for Children, Teens, Families and Adults. We Specialize in treating those who would like to learn skills for coping with intense emotions and working towards a life worth living. DBT is something that we are very passionate about. Each of us at any given time are doing the best we can and there are times we can do better. We wake up every day wanting to be the best versions of ourselves and sometimes do old behaviors we no longer find effective. We want to grow and learn how to change certain behaviors. Intense emotions, feelings of hopelessness sometimes make that change difficult to achieve.
Our passion is helping adults, teens and tweens and children learn skills for changing behaviors and finding hope in the midst of change. We primarily use DBT therapy to help those who have difficulty managing intense emotions. We also offer EMDR to treat past trauma.

DBT Resiliency Center is the only center offering DBT for Children. We are extensively trained DBT therapists in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech and the Linehan Institute.

What is Dialectic Behavior Therapy?

DBT is an evidence based treatment designed to help manage impulsive behaviors, emotional responses, and self-destructive urges. DBT was originally developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., ABPP, as a comprehensive cognitive-behavioral treatment.

Empirical research has shown that DBT can also help address a variety of other concerns including eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. DBT skills can help you manage stress and live a healthier, more meaningful life.

DBT focuses on the acquisition of 4 critical skill sets:

Mindfulness  ||  Distress Tolerance  ||  Emotion Regulation  ||  and
Interpersonal Effectiveness
